March Madness

Posted on March 18th, 2012

Hi everyone

Welcome to the middle of March – this year is just rocking by.

I have been flat out with gigs which is always a great way to fill in your spare time if you can call it that. During February I had the great pleasure in performing at my close friends Vanessa and Zane Monteiths wedding.  And then a week after that I flew to New Plymouth to be the guest artist for the Merrilands Country Music Club, I was so well looked after. Unfortunately the members of the club and its committee were under a lot of pressure due to the loss of their Club President the day before but I would have to say they all put on very brave faces and we had a great night.

Together with Trevor we have just finished a fantastic night at the Africa Bar in Highland Park and we also had a brilliant night at the Howick RSA a couple of weeks ago, so great in fact they have booked us for two more gigs this year. We are really thrilled with the amount of gigs we have coming in and also the amount of hard work our manager Helen is doing for us. It is a real privilege to get out and take our country music to the masses.

On the 31st of March there is a great Country Music Festival taking place at Sky City Hamilton that is run in conjunction with the Kiwi Pro Am Country Music Association and all details can be found on their website http://www.kiwiproamcountrymusic.co.nz

Make sure you check out the gig guide because we could be coming to a venue near you!!!

Also if you know of any great venues you would like to see Trevor and I play make sure you let us know. You can email me kylieaustin@hotmail.com

New Years Resolution

Posted on January 26th, 2012

Hi everyone and welcome to 2012.

I can’t believe that next week will be February already. Where does the time go to?

My new years resolution is to this year keep this site up to date with what’s going on and where I will be playing.

There are already a number of gigs booked in for this year including some new venues where I will  be playing a great mix of country music with good friend Trevor Stevens. We have decided to join forces and put together some great shows for you all to enjoy. I have some other exciting projects in the making and am very excited about what the future will hold for my music and also for me personally. As many of you will know my partner Gerald lives in Kati Kati and at some stage of the game I hope to relocate with Jackson of course to the sunny spot of the country. Over the past couple of years I have been heavily involved in the Eastern Districts Country Music Club and also the Auckland Country Music Association but due to an ever increasing gig guide and personal commitments I have stood down from all of the roles to focus on moving and music.

Check out the gig guide on where I will be playing and it would be great to see you there.

I promise to keep the site all up to date from now on.

Have a fabulous 2012 and may the Year of the Dragon be grand to you all

Love Kylie

xx
