The Art of the Belfie
That’s right. I’m addressing my oh so favorite and go to picture pose, the belfie.
What is a ‘belfie’, you might ask? A belfie is a back selfie, or where you’re facing the view.
For examples of how to execute, see below:

This pose has been my go to pose for years, and after incessant ‘but we want to see your pretty smile!!’ comments from family and friends, I’m addressing why.
My favorite thing about a belfie is that it’s not about me. I’m not so much the focal point of the photo, and I’m not THE moment in the photo. This way, I’m present IN the moment. In so many photos, you can see an insane view, but it’s not the focal point. Instead, you’re looking at the outfit, the smiles, the accessories, etc. that are being worn, and not reallyappreciating the background. In a belfie, yeah, I’m there, but you get to see what I’m seeing AND see me too! I also like that I don’t have to force a smile if I’m not feeling fantastic, or that I don’t have to worry about ruining a good picture because I’m dripping sweat. It's a win-win!
My tips for a good belfie are simple: BE YOURSELF. Be comfortable being you and being present in the moment! Take in the sights, smells, and sounds and that will ultimately give you the best belfies to up your 'gram game!
Make sure to tag #THTbelfie so I can see, like & comment on your belfies!
((Shout out to Momma A for being my go-to, A1 belfie taker))
